A New Way of Talking

It seems, starting this week, Lilia has moved from babbling speech to screeching speech.  She thinks that the loudest screechiest noise is the best way to get her point across.....

We are hoping this doesn't continue forever!  :)

On January 14, 2012, Lilia was Baptized by Fr. Jim at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  There were lots of cousins and friends who joined.  It was a very memorable event, from baptism to reception!

A Snowy New Year

 This year, we were invited to the Sari's cabin in Sun River.  After an adventurous seven, yes seven, hour drive from Portland to Sun River, which included putting on and taking off chains and driving 20mph for most of the snowy pass, we all arrived in one piece.  This was, by far, the longest road trip Lilia has ever been on.  She was wonderful for the first six hours and screamed the last hour, despite Lizzie's awesome entertaining efforts!  The next morning, NYE, we went for a long five mile walk, which Lilia really enjoyed while riding in the moby wrap on Clare.  Here are some pictures from our little journey:

Needless to say, we had a great time ringing in the new year, wine in hand and jammies on.  Lilia went to bed around 9pm, but she was equally excited for 2012.  Lisa and Dom were awesome hosts, we hope to visit Sun River again soon!
