Christmas Fun

I have been the worst at keeping up with this blog.  Here are a few videos from December.  Lilia was introduced to Santa this year, first at our Santa Party, and then at the Mall when she had her Santa Picture taken.  The funny thing is that when he wasn't around, she loved talking about him- saying "ho ho ho" every time she saw a picture of him.  But when it came time to sit on his lap, she would cry and cry and cry.  See her Santa picture below.  Hilarious.
Man is Lilia getting cuter by the day and making connections with the world and how it works by the moment.  We love her!

Wasn't too happy on Christmas Eve before opening presents.  She may have started to understand Santa, but she did NOT understand how much fun Christmas Eve is supposed to be.  Better luck next year!

Animal Noises

These are some videos of just a few of the many animal noises Lilia likes to make.  I couldn't get her to do her doggie noise, but it sounds like this "ff fff fff", for woof!  So cute!

HALLOWEEN!

Lilia was a peacock for the second halloween of her life.  I made the costume, idea from pinterest- it was so easy!  Best of all, it didn't seem to bother Lilia all day and night as she walked around shaking her tail feathers.  We celebrated at Bree and Tor's new house with some meat chili, and then trick or treated around their neighborhood with Sara and Doug.  Lola, Owen, and Lilia had a fun time, and Lilia was loving eating all the candy through the wrappers because she was too impatient for me to open it for her!

Octoberfest Fun!

Grandma Liz and Grandpa Ed won a cabin for a week in Leavenworth.  I took work off that week and Miguel had to stay in Portland and work.  On Wednesday, Lilia and I took off on the 5 hour drive from Portland to Leavenworth.  And what a fun trip it was!  Lilia had so much fun exploring the cabin, eating tons of yummy foods, listening to German music, and turning crawling into lots of walking.

Loves to Talk

We've always known Lilia is outgoing, but man does she already love to talk!  At 13 months, this little girl has a ton of words she is saying.  And she will even babble for a long time as if she is telling us a long story.  It's adorable!  We caught a bit of it on video.....

Happy First Birthday

Lilia has been having a tough go at it this week because some of her teeth are coming in.  Four at once in fact.  :(  We managed to have a little fun on her birthday and during her birthday party.  Hopefully this will be her only "crabby" birthday of her life!

This is right before she grabbed the flame and burnt her fingers as we sang happy birthday  :(  Bad times.
