First Trip

This past weekend we took our first Guante Family trip with Lilia. We visited cousins Colleen and Brian and the Johnstons in San Diego. Lilia enjoyed almost every second, loving the ocean breezes and sunshine. She can't wait to return when it's sunnier and when new cousin baby Cooke arrives!

My First Halloween

Tonight I celebrated Halloween 2011 in my Mermaid costume. I had fun roaming around the city meeting up with Mommy's work friends for happy hour and then heading over to the Smith's house for a little Halloween party.

Mermaid Lilia! The fin was borrowed from the Lapke girls! Clever idea!

April 18, 2013 - Realized Lilia has a lisp and says "rith" for rice, "guyth", "yeth", etc. :)

April 13, 2013 - Hums the whole tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

April 8, 2013 - Miguel taught Lilia how to give kisses with her "mimimi" (nose).

April 4, 2013 - Jumps all over the place!

March 30, 2013 - Whenever Lilia hits her head or falls down or gets an owie, she will turn to whatever she bumped and say (with her finger pointed!) "no no!!!" several times.

March 28, 2013 - For the past week, the moment she is done with breakfast, Lilia will find her three necklaces (two of which are rosaries), and put them on wearing them nonstop until naptime. Such a girly girl!

March 25, 2013 - Taking naps with Mommy is one of Mommy's favorite things. I will pretend to be asleep, eyes closed and facing her and she will try to poke my eyes out and give me a million kisses, and kick and turn and move all over. After a few moments of this, she will snuggle in and close her eyes. Seriously the best.

March 15, 2013 - Knows when she is in trouble and gives Mommy or Papi a million hugs and and kisses on the mouth to try and "win" our love back. Soo cute and soo hard not to laugh during these teaching moments!

March 4, 2013 - Much more interested in her baby dolls. Wants me (mom) to kiss them every five minutes and thinks its hilarious how much i goo-goo-gaa-gaa over them. Just getting her ready for her new brother or sister in the fall!

February 20, 2013 - Tries to make Miguel and I sniff her "stinky blankets", and she thinks its hilarious to put them in our face so we have to smell the ickiness. Haha.

February 14, 2013 - Lilia discovers that she can sing! She sings "Where is Lili" tune all over the place- in the house playing with her dolls, in the car while listening to the radio, and even on command.

December 10, 2012 - Lilia is so excited about Santa and even says "hohoho" when she sees a picture of him. However, when we went to get her picture taken with Santa at the mall, Lilia nearly threw a fit. She just likes him from afar!
